Join us for the third Burning Matters event - doors open 5.45pm for a 6.30pm start on Wednesday the 26th of June 2024 at the Denmark Civic Centre.

 

In this third event of the series, a series of short films yet to be shown to the public will be screened, showing various ecosystems of the Walpole Wilderness Area and the impacts of large-scale prescribed burns.

 

We will hear from guest speakers, Professor Stephen Hopper (UWA Albany) and Simon Neville (Denmark).  Denmark Environment Centre's Bart Lebbing and Cath Spaggiari will give an overview of the issues around prescribed burning and current campaign activities.
